Experiment the culture

Since its origin, the village of Sant Joan de les Abadesses has been a village of culture. The important archives of the monastery, the troubadour's song book, or the important architectonic heritance are proof of this. Illustrious persons have been born or have had a close relationship with the village, thus giving it more emphasis.

The cultural life of Sant Joan is still active. The different types of publications that appear year after year, the musical, theatre or dance activities, the cycles of conferences, among others, are proof of it. The last of the wagers of the Town Council has been the inauguration, in the month of July, of the Centre of Documentation of the Myth of Count Arnau, which gathers all of the material and publications that make reference, in one way or another, to the figure of Count Arnau.
