Experiment the Festival

The Main Festival:

the second Sunday in September. The dance of the "Pabordes" (typical dance of the village, originating from the sixteenth century) on Sunday at 5 p.m. at the Main Square and on Monday at 10 p.m. "Tornaboda" (celebration on the day after a wedding) of the "Cubilar" and the "Bogeria" Tuesday afternoon.

.The dance of the "Pabordes"

This is, without doubt, the most outstanding part of the Dance of the "Pabordes" Main Festival. It is danced only on Sunday and Monday of the Main Festival at the Main Square or, on very special occasions, but hardly ever away from the village.

Of a majestic and elegant nature, 4 couples carry out the steps that configure the dance. The origin of this dance is quite uncertain. It probably arose linked to the religious cult, since, in olden days, to dance inside the churches in order to make an offer to the Divinity was common. Once dancing inside the church was prohibited, the Dance of the "Pabordes" was held in the streets and suffered a degradation process, which lead to it being restored and its majestic nature being recuperated in the year 1945.
